Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
