Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
