The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GOD'S JUDGMENT is [bound to] come: do not, therefore, call for its speedy advent! Limitless is He in His glory and sublimely exalted above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 1 He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. 2 He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 He created the cattle. They are a source of clothing and food and also a variety of other benefits for you. 5 And for you there is beauty in them as ye drive them at eventide and as ye drive them out to pasture. 6 They carry your burdens to lands so distant you could not have reached without much hardship. Indeed your Lord is compassionate and kind. 7 And [it is He who creates] horses and mules and asses for you to ride, as well as for [their] beauty: and He will yet create things of which [today] you have no knowledge. 8 Some paths lead away from God but one must follow the path that leads to God. Had God wanted, He could have guided (all to the right path). 9
