Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 AND ON EARTH there are signs [of God's existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
