Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
