The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
