Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 that hide, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 For, this fellow-man of yours is not a madman: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
