And he who believed said: O my people! Follow me. I will show you the way of right conduct. 38 O my people! this life of the world is only a (passing) enjoyment, and surely the hereafter is the abode to settle; 39 Whoever commits evil deeds will be recompensed to the same degree. The righteously striving believer, male or female, will enter Paradise wherein they will receive their sustenance without any account being kept. 40 ۞ "And O my people, how is it that I summon you to salvation, the while you summon me to the fire? 41 [for] you call upon me to deny [the oneness of] God and to ascribe a share in His divinity to aught of which I cannot [possibly] have any knowledge the while I summon you to [a cognition of] the Almighty, the All-Forgiving! 42 "There is no doubt that what you summon me to is something that has no claim to being invoked either in this world or in the life to come - as [there is no doubt] that unto God is our return, and that they who have wasted their own selves shall find themselves in the fire: 43 You will remember what I say to you. I commit my affair to God; surely God sees His servants.' 44 So Allah protected him from the evil (consequences) of what they planned, and the most evil punishment overtook Firon's people: 45 The fire – upon which they are presented morning and evening; and when the Last Day is established – “Put the people of Firaun into the most severe punishment.” (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 46 And [mention] when they will argue within the Fire, and the weak will say to those who had been arrogant, "Indeed, we were [only] your followers, so will you relieve us of a share of the Fire?" 47 The ones who had dominated them will say, "All of us are now in hell. God has already issued His Judgment of His servants (and no one can change this)." 48 Those in the Fire will say to its keepers, "Implore your Lord to relieve our torment for one day," 49 They shall say: Did not your apostles come to you with clear arguments? They shall say: Yea. They shall say: Then call. And the call of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
