Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
