The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Of what do they question one another? 1 About the great event, 2 whereon they are at variance. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 HAVE WE NOT made the earth a resting-place [for you,] 6 And the mountains as pegs? 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 and made your sleep a means of repose, 9 and We made the night a mantle, 10 and made the day for earning a livelihood. 11 We raised over you several secure (skies), 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 That We may produce from it grain and vegetation, 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors, 19 And the mountains will have been removed away, and they will have become as mirage. 20 Behold, Gehenna has become an ambush, 21 For the transgressors a place of destination: 22 In which they will remain for ages [unending]. 23 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, 24 except boiling water and pus 25 a befitting recompense for their deeds. 26 They indeed hoped not for a reckoning, 27 and roundly denied Our Signs as false. 28 And all things have We preserved on record. 29 So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
