Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: Hoarding (Al-Takaathur). Sent down in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
