▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise). 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
