The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
