۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 who determined and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
