Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24
INDEED, We sent forth Noah unto his people, and he said: "O my people! Worship God alone: you have no deity other than Him. Verily, I fear lest suffering befall you on an awesome Day!" 59 The chiefs of his people said: Most surely we see you in clear error. 60 He said: 'O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a Messenger from the Lord of the universe. 61 I bring to you the messages of my Lord, and give you sincere advice, for I know from God what you do not know. 62 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 63 But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and We drowned those who rejected Our signs. They were indeed a blind people. 64
