Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha, Meem. 1 The revelation of this Book is from God, the mighty and all-wise. 2 In the heavens and the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and in the means of sustenance – water – which Allah sends down from the sky whereby He gave life to the earth after its death, and in the movement of the winds – (in all these) are signs for people of intellect. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Woe to all the guilty impostors! 7 Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment. 8 Whenever he comes to know anything of Our Signs, he makes them an object of jest. For such there awaits a humiliating chastisement. 9 In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliya' (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allah. And theirs will be a great torment. 10 This is guidance; and those who disbelieve in the signs of their Lord, there awaits them a painful chastisement of wrath. 11
