The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 and gathered his people together 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 you pay attention 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
