The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or orders piety? 12 Do you see how he has denied the truth and turned away from it? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
