Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
