The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
