In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Recite: In the Name of thy Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 and then let him summon [to his aid] the counsels of his own [spurious] wisdom, 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
