And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And created the jinn before him, from smokeless fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 Iblis replied, "I did not want to prostrate before a human being whom You have created out of mud-moulded clay". 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 unto the day of a known time.' 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 and for all such, behold, hell is the promised goal. 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44
