Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and that Our army will be triumphant. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
