And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 They shall roast in (the Fire) of Gehenna, an evil cradling. 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 (Observing their followers advancing to Hell they will say, among themselves: “This is a troop rushing in to you. There is no welcome for them. They are destined to roast in the Fire.” 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
