▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for him who dreadeth the standing before his Lord will be two Gardens. 46 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 49 In the two gardens there will be two flowing springs. 50 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 51 In both these is a pair of every fruit. 52 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 53 Reclining on carpets whereof the linings will be of brocade; and the fruit of the two Gardens shall be near at hand. 54 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 55 Therein are maidens who restrain their glances, whom neither human nor jinn have touched before. 56 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be anything other than goodness? 60 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 61 And besides these two, there are two other Gardens,- 62 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 63 Dark-green. 64 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 65 In both of them are two springs gushing forth. 66 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 67 therein fruits, and palm-trees, and pomegranates -- 68 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 69 Therein will be maidens chaste and beautiful. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and fair carpets. 76 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 77 Blessed be the name of thy Lord, full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour. 78
