But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 and neither is it - however little you may [be prepared to] take it to heart - the word of a soothsayer: 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] 50 And lo! it is absolute truth. 51 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 52
