Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he might make up excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be Basirah (dark, gloomy, frowning, and sad), 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
