Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
