The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 closed around them 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
