Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
