We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin. 14 Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) as an Ayah (a lesson, a warning, etc.) for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 15 And (remember) Ibrahim – when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him; that is better for you, if you knew!” 16 "For ye do worship idols besides Allah, and ye invent falsehood. The things that ye worship besides Allah have no power to give you sustenance: then seek ye sustenance from Allah, serve Him, and be grateful to Him: to Him will be your return. 17 If you reject the truth, other communities before you also rejected the truth. The messenger's responsibility is only to convey the message clearly." 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reproduces it? That surely is easy for God. 19 Say: Travel in the earth and see how He makes the first creation, then Allah creates the latter creation; surely Allah has power over all things. 20 He punishes whom He will and shows mercy to whom He pleases. And to Him you shall be returned. 21 And ye cannot escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and beside Allah there is for you no friend nor helper. 22
