Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He said: “You are of those who have been granted respite 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
