The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
