Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
