The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and [when] the earth yields up her burdens, 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 having been inspired by your Lord. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
