We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
