Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then those (ships) that glide easily, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
