By no means! By the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the sinners. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
