Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatsoever form He listed He constructed thee. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: Shattering (Al-Infitaar). Sent down in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
