And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he remained among them a thousand years save fifty years. And the deluge overtook them, while they were unjust. 14 And We rescued him and the people aboard the ship, and made the ship a sign for the entire world. 15 And (We sent) Ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know: 16 "You worship besides Allah only idols, and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allah have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allah (Alone), and worship Him (Alone), and be grateful to Him. To Him (Alone) you will be brought back. 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 Do they not see how Allah originates the Creation, and then brings it back? That is an easy matter for Allah. 19 Say: 'Travel in the land and see how He started the Creation. Then Allah will originate the Everlasting Life. Allah has power over all things. 20 He punishes whomever He wills and has mercy upon whomever He wills; and towards Him only you are to return. 21 You are not able to frustrate Him either in the earth or in heaven; and you have not, apart from God, either protector or helper. 22
