The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
