3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
