The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. 2 Who believe in the Unknown and fulfil their devotional obligations, and spend in charity of what We have given them; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these they are the blissful ones. 5 As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. 6 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. 7
