۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 The day they see the angels there will be no happy tidings for the sinners; and they will say: "There is an insurmountable barrier!" 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 On that Day, the companions of Paradise (will have) a better abode and a finer restingplace. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 the true Kingdom on that Day shall belong to the Merciful a harsh day for the unbelievers. 26 Upon that Day the harmdoer shall bite his hands, and say: 'Would that I had taken a Path with the Messenger! 27 Woe alas, ah would I had not taken so-and-so as friend! 28 For it was he, who had deluded me to reject the Admonition which had come to me. Satan has proved very treacherous to man. " 29 The Messenger will say, "Lord, my people did indeed discard the Quran," 30 Thus do We keep opponents among the sinners for every apostle; yet your Lord is sufficient as a guide and helper. 31 The unbelievers say: "Why was the whole Qur'an not sent down all at once to him?" It was sent thus that We may keep your heart resolute. So We enunciated it by steps and distinctly. 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 those who are going to be driven to Hell upon their faces, have taken an utterly wrong stand and their way is most erroneous! 34
