When the messengers came to Lot and his family, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 "Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." 65 And [through Our messengers] We revealed unto him this decree: "The last remnant of those [sinners] shall be wiped out in the morn." 66 The people of the city came to him rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 “And fear Allah and do not disgrace me.” 69 They replied, "Did we not forbid you to bring anyone to your house?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 and We turned it uppermost nethermost and rained on it stones of baked clay. 74 Indeed in this are signs for people who perceive. 75 And verily they are on a pathway lasting. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 Since the People of the Forest were unjust, 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79
