Do they whose minds are filled with doubt, think that God will not expose their malice? 29 And if We please We would have made you know them so that you would certainly have recognized them by their marks and most certainly you can recognize them by the intent of (their) speech; and Allah knows your deeds. 30 And We shall assuredly try you until We know those of you who struggle and are steadfast, and try your tidings. 31 Those who disbelieve and bar from the Path of Allah, and break with the Messenger after guidance has been made clear to them shall not hurt Allah a thing, and He will annul their deeds. 32 O you who have attained to faith! Pay heed unto God, and pay heed unto the Apostle, and let not your [good] deeds come to nought! 33 ۞ Those who disbelieve and bar from God's way and then die disbelieving, them God will not forgive. 34 Wherefore faint not, nor cry out for peace; and ye shall be triumphant. And Allah is with you, and He will not defraud you of your works. 35 Verily the life of this world is no more than a sport and frivolity. If you believe and fear God, he will give you your reward, and will not ask for your possessions. 36 Were He to ask it from you, and ask in plenty, you would be miserly, and the miserliness would expose the filth within your hearts. 37 It is you who are asked to spend for the cause of God, but some of you behave in a niggardly way. Whoever behaves miserly does so against his own soul. God is Self-sufficient and you are poor. If you were to turn away from Him, He would just replace you with another people, who will not be like you. 38
