Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
