It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude). 13 And it is He Who subjected the sea for you, so you eat fresh meat from it, and extract ornaments from it which you wear; and you see ships ploughing through it and in order that you may seek His munificence and that you may give thanks. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
