The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Clear Book. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9
