The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 A guidance and good tidings for believers 2 who are steadfast in prayer, who pay the religious tax, and who have strong faith in the life hereafter. 3 Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; 4 They are those for whom there will be an evil torment (in this world). And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 As for you, (O Muhammad), you are receiving the Qur'an from the Most Wise, the All-Knowing. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 So, when he came to it, he was called: 'Blessed is he who is in the fire, and he who is about it. Glory be to God, the Lord of all Being! 8 O Musa! verily it is I, Allah, the Mighty the Wise! 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. 12 But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, 13 And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! 14
